Land dispute: Two arrested for killing man, minor boy

Mirpur Mathelo police had lodged two separate FIRs against 15 persons of the Naich community

The Mirpur Mathelo police on Tuesday arrested two persons belonging to the Naich community for their alleged involvement in the murder of a man and minor boy during an armed clash over a land dispute last Sunday.


On Sunday two groups clashed over a piece of land in Dodo Mahar village, during which men from one group threw a minor boy, Shahzad, into the Maso Wah canal, while four persons were injured during an exchange of fire. Out of the four injured, a passerby Gul Hassan Mirani, succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday night. The boy’s body was found on Tuesday evening.


Mirpur Mathelo police had lodged two separate FIRs against 15 persons of the Naich community and have arrested two persons Gulzar Naich and Ghulam Hussain Naich, with raids being conducted to arrest the remaining accused.
