MULTAN: Police claimed on Sunday to have killed a member of Chhotu gang and arrested another in a shootout. An SHO was also injured in the encounter. A police spokesman said a team had raided a house in Chowk Rasheedabad on a tip-off. He said the men inside had shot at the police. He said Jalalpur Peerwala SHO Nayl Muhammad was injured. The spokesman said Yahya, a member of Chhotu gang, was killed when police shot back. He said another man was injured and had been arrested. Jalalpur Peerwala DSP Rab Nawaz Tilla told The Express Tribune that police had been informed that three leaders of the gang were hiding in the house. He said they had fled before police arrived.
