PESHAWAR:

Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl on Friday protested against the persecution of Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar. A rally was held from Nosho Baba Masjid to Hashtnagri Chowk. The protesters held banners and placards with slogans against world leaders and human rights organisations inscribed on them.

They also condemned the governments of neighbouring countries for their indifference towards the issue. Addressing the demonstrators, JUI-F K-P information secretary Abdul Jalil Jan said, “Innocent children are being brutally slaughtered while the global community has maintained criminal silence over the massacre.”

Flanked by party leaders Maulana Khairul Bashar and Maulana Amanullah, Jan accused the United States for inciting tension between India and Pakistan.
