SWABI:

Three independent candidates elected from union councils in Topi tehsil announced on Tuesday that they are joining Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz and claimed to have rejected offers of millions of rupees from others.

Ali Hussain of Topi Gharbi, Gul Khatab of Ghabasni, and Gadon and Beherul Amin of Kabgani submitted their papers and joined PML-N.

MPA Sheraz Khan, present at the announcement, said the three successful candidates made the right choice, adding that “their rejection of lucrative offers is for the greater good of their people”. He also took a swipe at the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf-led government, and said it only made claims and never fulfilled its promises.

He thanked party supporters for voting and vowed to bring positive change by providing all resources required for development. He added he was delighted that these three winners joined the PML-N.  The three submitted their joining papers to the Payo Khan returning officer for the Additional Assistant Commissioner.
