Serious problem: '24% population suffering from heartburn'

Approximately 24 per cent of the population is suffering from heartburn, participants of a seminar on 'Heartburn — A Global Perspective' learnt on Friday.


The seminar was organised at the Sindh Institute of Urology and Transplantation, in collaboration with World Gastroenterology Organisation to mark World Digestive Health Day.

In the seminar, experts stressed the need to avoid cigarettes, acid-enhancing beverages, citrus fruits and spicy foods.
