With Deepika riding high on the success of her film Piku, it was no wonder that she threw a party to celebrate. The party was a smashing success with the likes of Pakistani heartthrob Fawad Khan spotted at the invite-only event.

The Khoobsurat star was seen mingling with A-list Bollywood stars at the party. He was even seen taking pictures with B-Town beauty Deepika Padukone.

Fawad seems to be enjoying his time in India, as is Mahira Khan. Since these Pakistani actors landed in India, they have been invited to several events hosted by B-Town stars.

Recently Alia Bhatt and Siddharth Malhotra tweeted their excitement on the day shooting for Kapoor & Sons began. Times of India quoted a source as saying that, despite not knowing one another, Fawad made a very positive impression on both Alia and Sid. Apparently Sidharth and Fawad “bonded like long-lost friends” and Alia too was full of praise for his performance in Khoobsurat.

The release date of the film is yet to be announced.

We must rise above petty differences and think about the broader picture. If Fawad does well, its good for the industry. If its good for the industry, its good for both India and Pakistan.

I think Mr Fawad Khan is poles superior in looks not only against Siddharth but against any A grade super star of Bollywood. Let Bollywood become an international industry. Its about quality entertainment and not about India Pakistan. If many actors from UK can go out and work in Hollywood bulge bracket projects, then Pakistani talent clearly deserves a chance in Bollywood. Fawad is a talent and that is why we see him on the rise.
