Security measures: Section 144 imposed for LG polls

Police say they will hold no respite for those who violate the imposed section

BANNU: City police imposed Section 144 on aerial firing and display of weapons during the local government elections in the district. Bannu Cantonment DSP Zahir Shah held a meeting with LG candidates and discussed the implementation of the code of conduct and the overall security situation. Candidates assured Shah of their full support and said action should be taken against those who violate the rules. Talking on the occasion, Shah said police will hold no respite for those who violate the imposed section.
