A one kilogramme explosive device was defused by bomb disposal unit (BDU) on Bannu-Miranshah Road on Thursday. Bannu Cantonment SHO Said Nawaz said the police was informed about a suspicious object lying near Tableeghi Markaz situated along the road. Police rushed to the site, accompanied by the BDU. The bomb disposal officials confirmed it was an explosive and defused it. A search operation was conducted in the area but no arrests were made till the filing of this report. Police registered an FIR against unidentified militants and started investigation.
