LAHORE: A murder convict was hanged early morning on Wednesday at Kot Lakhpat Central Jail. Security in and around the prison was high at the time of the execution and access to prison was limited. The deceased met his family for the last time on Tuesday. According to prosecution, he had killed two people almost 17 years ago. His mercy plea had been rejected by the president.
