Spice Girls reunite to celebrate David Beckham's 40th birthday bash

David Beckham's birthday has now been declared a national holiday because of the birth of the royal baby. While all of Britain celebrates the new addition to the royal family, the star footballer flew 2000 miles away to Morocco to celebrate a star studded 40th with family and friends.

Reportedly, Victoria Beckham planned a weekend getaway for her husband in Marrakech to celebrate his milestone 40th. It came as no surprise that the Spice Girls made it on the invite list along with Eva Longoria, Liv Tyler, Gordon Ramsay and his wife, among other famous personalities.

The weekend getaway at the luxury Amanjena resort cost a reported £250,000. Sources claim the Beckhams paid £27,200 upfront for the evening event for 60 guests – but the total bill for the exclusive hire of the hotel is expected to be considerably more, with some luxury rooms costing £2,500 per night.

The day kick started with four red velvet cakes, one from each Beckham child, made with fresh berries by the hotel staff. The family bonded over camel rides before the arrival of the guests.

David Beckham decided to join Instagram on his birthday and thanked his fans for all the wishes. Within 24 hours of him having joined the social platform his followers increased to four million.
