Domestic disagreement: LG candidate commits suicide

Zahid Khan, 31, had an argument with his wife on Monday evening over which he shot himself

ABBOTABAD: A candidate for the local government (LG) polls allegedly committed suicide over a minor domestic disagreement in Salhad village, said the police on Tuesday. Police quoted a family member as saying that Zahid Khan, 31, had an argument with his wife on Monday evening over which he shot himself with a 30-bore pistol. He was taken to Ayub Medical Complex where he succumbed in the early hours of Tuesday. Police has registered a case and started an investigation. According to police and family members, Zahid was a candidate for the tehsil council from his native union council, Salhad, and had recently got back home after addressing different public meetings in the union council.
