New Appointment: Health secretary transferred

KARACHI: Larkana division commissioner Saeed Ahmed Mangnejo was appointed health secretary, replacing Iftikhar Ahmed Shalwani. According to a notification issue on Thursday, Shalwani has been posted as the secretary of religious affairs Auqaf, Zakat and Ushr. Shalwani only served the health department for four months. In December last year, he replaced Iqbal Durrani who was transferred due to differences with the health minister. Officials of the department said that it was a routine transfer not a political one. It was not confirmed by officials why Shalwani was transferred.
