PESHAWAR: Governor Sardar Mehtab Ahmad Khan has directed the principal of Edwardes College to admit five students from Federally Administered Tribal Areas every year on merit. While meeting a 23-member delegation of Fata students selected for cadet and military colleges across the country on Wednesday, Mehtab said the government will send meritorious students for higher education abroad. He gave cash rewards of Rs10,000 to selected students and urged them to strive for the benefit of their people. The governor said capacity-building of tribespeople will result in the overall uplift of the residents of Fata who have long been deprived of their rights.
