RAWALPINDI: An anti-terrorist court (ATC) in Rawalpindi on Monday acquitted five accused in a hate speech case after the prosecution failed to prove charges. The Attock police had booked Maulvi Muhammad Umer, Muhammad Hafaz, Khalil Nawaz, Fakhar Hussain and Arshad Hussain on charge of delivering hate-speeches and inciting to violence. When they were produced before ATC Judge Asif Majeed Awan, the prosecution failed to produce the evidence to substantiate the allegations against them. The judge acquitted the accused in the case.
