Gun Attack: Two policemen, prisoners injured

The assailants managed to flee after the attack

KOHAT: Two policemen and two prisoners were injured when members of a rival group of the inmates opened fire at the convoy en route to a court on Saturday. The prisoners are inmates of Jungle Khel prison. Constables Noor Muhammad and Naseer Khan along with prisoners Abid Iqbal and Rashid Iqbal were injured. The assailants managed to flee after the attack. The injured men were taken to KDA Hospital where doctors said Abid was in critical condition. Police reached the site after the attack and started searching for the gunmen. A case was registered against those named by Constable Muhammad. According to the police, the two groups got into a scuffle a few days back and the conflict was to be resolved in court.
