Drowning incident: Man tries to save grandson, both die

Police and locals recovered the bodies from the dam.

RAWALPINDI: A 70-year-old man and his grandson drowned in a dam in Chauntra on Saturday. Police said that six-year-old Abdullah was playing on bank of Mujahid Dam when he slipped and fell into the dam. Nabi Khan, the grand-father, jumped into the water to save Abdullah but could not. Both drowned and died. Police and locals recovered the bodies from the dam.
