Judiciary: CJ Khawaja Imtiaz retires tomorrow

Justice Manzoor Ahmad Malik was also present at the occasion.

LAHORE: Justice Manzoor Ahmad Malik will take oath as Chief Justice of the Lahore High Court on Monday, March 30, after Chief Justice Khawaja Imtiaz Ahmad retires on March 29. Justice Malik will be the LHC’s 43rd CJ. He was elevated as an LHC judge on September 15, 2009. A formal send-off was organised for CJ Khawaja Imtiaz Ahmad at the judges’ lounge on Friday. Justice Manzoor Ahmad Malik was also present at the occasion. He presented a souvenir and a bouquet to the outgoing CJ. CJ Imtiaz Ahmad took oath as chief justice on June 17, 2014. He joined the district judiciary as an additional district and sessions judge in 1992 and was promoted to district and sessions judge in 2000.
