Army reiterates resolve to implement NAP

RAWALPINDI: The Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (JCSC) meeting reaffirmed its resolve to fight the menace of terrorism as per the National Action Plan with full support of the people of Pakistan.

The first JCSC meeting of the year, chaired by the Chairman Joint Chief of Staff Committee General Rashad Mahmood, was held at the Joint Staff Headquarters on Tuesday.

According to a statement issued by the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), during the meeting issues pertaining to National Security, emerging regional geo-strategic environment and progress of Operation Zarb-e-Azb came under discussion.

Expressing their satisfaction over the standard of preparedness of the armed forces to take on challenges confronting the nation internally and externally, the participants reaffirmed their resolve to implement the National Action Plan with nation’s support.

Earlier on Monday, the 180th Corps Commanders’ Conference headed by army chief General Raheel Sharif undertook a comprehensive review of operational preparedness, as well as the prevalent internal and external security situation of the country.
