According to a report on NDTV.com, director Anurag Kashyap hasn't taken too kindly to what Aamir Khan had to say about the controversial AIB Roast, The Times of India reported.

At a recent event, Aamir had said, "I was most disappointed in what I was hearing. I completely believe in freedom of speech but we have to understand that we all have a certain responsibility. Violence is not just physical, it can be verbal or emotional. Like Alia, Deepika and Sonakshi, Anurag Kashyap too was a part of the 'Roast' as an audience and seemed to have enjoyed his time there. He was also seen laughing at the jokes cracked at his expense."

To voice his opinion on Aamir's comments on the 'Roast,' Kashyap has reportedly posted a link on his Facebook page, directing to the video where Aamir had spoken in defence of the 'DK Bose' song from his movie Delhi Belly.

Aamir had said, "I have already informed my audiences that it is an adult film. Please do not go with your kids and those who have a problem with this kind of language shouldn't come either. I try my best to inform the audiences before-hand. Then they can decide themselves. If the audience is adult, they can decide themselves. So from my end I do all these things for my fans."

While Anurag chose to put across his point subtly, Anushka Sharma was vocal in standing against her PK co-actor's point-of-view.

In a recent press interaction to promote her upcoming flick NH10, when asked about her thoughts on AIB's jokes on women, Anushka said, "The way I saw it... every individual has his own opinion. You have your own, I have mine, others may have their own. It was in good humour according to me. It was just not meant to be taken seriously, that's the way I take it, and just like this... it's my opinion... someone else is free to have their opinion. That's the beauty of living in a democratic setup."

While Aamir wasn't too kind with his criticism of the 'Roast’, Sonam has chosen to stand in support of the AIB Knockout.

Sonam is all for freedom of speech. The actress, whose cousin, Arjun Kapoor was a part of the event said that she didn't believe in censorship.

Reluctantly commenting when asked to, Sonam said, "I love the comments that AIB has already made. It doesn't matter what the content is, people should be allowed to put out anything that they feel. I don't believe in censorship. That's all that I have to say."

AIB Knockout Roast has been drawing attention from several sections of the Indian society. While it has received flak from some, several others stood in support of free speech and humour.
