The Apple Watch will start shipping in April, Apple CEO Tim Cook said during a call with investors and analysts on Tuesday night.

First announced in September 2014, Apple had been promising the watch for "early 2015."

The Apple Watch will come in three different styles and will start at $349. The most expensive of which will be covered in 18-karat gold and is estimated to cost $5,000, though a price has not been confirmed.

The watch is your one-stop replacement for a phone. With the watch you can receive messages, phone calls and email on your watch.

The ‘glances’ feature gives real-time views of the information and applications you check most often and notifications come right to your wrist tapping you slightly.

According to Apple, the watch also allows you to connect with your favorite people in some new, spontaneous ways not possible with any other device.

The watch also gives a complete picture of your all-day physical activity and adjusts to local time when you travel.
