KARACHI: Sindh Knights’s last fixture was marred by controversy as Faisal Iqbal left the team when he was dropped against Punjab Badshahs at the National Stadium yesterday.

According to Faisal, he has been performing well for the team and has been treated unfairly . “I was not treated well from the start as I was not sent on my batting number,” Iqbal told The Express Tribune. “Even then in the last match I was sent down the order and scored a fifty.”

He further said that a player is asked to rest either when he has not performed in the previous match or needs a rest after playing a few matches on the trot. “I was dropped from the team due to which I decided to leave to preserve my self-respect,” he added. “I also want to show my performance to make a comeback in international cricket. If I am not given a chance here, then where would I go to showcase my fitness and performance?
