Police sources said 15 of the arrested suspects were Afghan refugees.
Arms and ammunition including one Kalashnikov, 52 pistols and hundreds of rounds were also seized during these raids.
The city witnessed one of bloodiest massacres on December 16 when gunmen of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan mounted an attack on Army Public School and killed over a 100 students.
