Security threats: Bazaars remain closed in Ghallanai

GHALLANAI: All the main bazaars of upper Mohmand Agency, including those in the agency’s main town of Ghallanai, remained closed on Wednesday. Ghallanai’s political administration officer said the bazaars including those of Ekka Ghund and Mian Mandi were ordered to be closed on Monday due to security threats. On Tuesday morning, when the shopkeepers went to open their businesses, they were stopped by the administration from doing so and the same happened on Wednesday. Two private schools in Mian Mandi Bazaar were also closed on Tuesday and they remained locked on the following day.
