RAWALPINDI:

Rawalpindi police have imposed a ban on the use of helicams or ‘drone cameras’ to cover mourning processions and majalis during Muharram.

“It is intimated that the use of helicam technology for video coverage of mourning processions and majalis is banned,” said a spokesperson of the Rawalpindi police on Thursday.

The spokesperson said the ban was imposed because helicams could also be used by terrorists to target the processions.
