ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Tuesday announced it will hold a protest demonstration every day in front of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) office against rigging in the 2013 general elections.

The announcement was made by PTI chief Imran Khan while addressing the sit-in at D-Chowk of the Constitution Avenue. Imran said that it was poll body’s duty to do justice over complaints of rigging but nothing has been done after one and a half year. “We would hold a demonstration every single day in front of the ECP,” he announced.

Talking about the investigation report in Jahangir Tareen’s constituency, he said Tareen was winning with a margin of 40,000 votes before the speech of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

Khan once again hit hard at former chief justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry and vowed to expose him. “I am ready to face you [Justice (retd) Chaudhry],” Imran said, adding “I will tell the nation how you did injustice with democracy.”

Talking about the increase in electricity tariff announced yesterday, Imran said it was due to inefficiency of the rulers. He said that during the regime of Zardari, electricity theft was recorded at Rs15 billion, which has now surged to Rs16.3 billion.

Imran informed the gathering that parliamentarians from Bangladesh felicitated him for the Azadi march. “Mujeebur Rehman would have been the prime minister of Pakistan but the army launched operation against him,” he lamented.

"“I am ready to face you [Justice (retd) Chaudhry],” Imran said, adding “I will tell the nation how you did injustice with democracy.”" Hubris, arrogance, and narcissism will be Imran Khan's nemesis.
