Afghanistan President Ashraf Ghani is keen on enhancing trade ties with Pakistan and pave the way for a mutually beneficial partnership, said Commercial Counsellor Afghan Consulate in Karachi Zeeshan Ibrahimi.

He expressed these views during his visit to Pakistan-Afghanistan Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PAJCCI) and met its co-president Zubair Motiwala and Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) President Iftikhar Ahmed Vohra.

Ibrahimi said the Afghan government wishes to receive business delegations so that opportunities in this regard could be explored. During the meeting, Ibrahimi extended formal invitations on behalf of the Afghan government to Motiwala and Vohra.

“We invite Pakistani business delegations to discuss elimination of hurdles in trade and enhance bilateral ties between the two countries with special focus on forming a strong regional trading block,” said Ibrahimi.
