Bollywood actor and former beauty queen Dia Mirza tied the knot with long-term beau  Sahil Sangha on Saturday at a farmhouse in Ghitorni, in New Delhi.

Mirza, who was clad in a green and beige ensemble designed by Ritu Kumar, exchanged her vows with business partner and boyfriend of four years reported the business-standard.com.

The couple got engaged earlier this year in New York and had an Arya Samaj wedding at the farmhouse in Ghitorni. After the wedding ceremony, the couple came out and posed for photographs.

The Hindustan Times stated that several Bollywood celebrities, such as Sushmita Sen, Zayed Khan, Sophie Choudry, tennis player Mahesh Bhupati with his wife, actor Lara Dutta, and film-maker Rajkumar Hirani attended the wedding.

Mirza, who is now a married woman, expressed her happiness at how smoothly the ceremony happened saying, “I am very happy. It was a beautiful Arya Samaj ceremony. We were explained the meaning of the vows that we exchanged. It was a dream come true for me ... it was the perfect wedding.”

The groom, who was sporting an outfit designed by Raghavendra Rathore, thanked everyone for making this day a special one for the newlywed couple.

Rathore explained his idea behind Sahil’s dress saying it was mainly to compliment Mirza's heavily embellished lehenga reported The International Business Times.

"The look is classic with no embroidery and comprises a cream silk linen brocade achkan with an emerald green pocket square. This has been paired with an inner emerald green kurta, which matches with what Dia wore,” Rathore told IANS.

The actor, who was  crowned Miss Asia-Pacific International in 2000, has featured in Bollywood films such as Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein and commercially and critically successful films such as Parineeta and Lage Raho Munna Bhai.

She is also a renowned advocate of environmental and social issues and ventured into film production a few years ago with the 2011 release Love Breakups Zindagi under their production banner Born Free Entertainment. The film was directed by Sahil Sangha and jointly produced by Dia Mirza and Sahil Sangha.

According to IANS, Dia had expressed her disappointment at not being able to cast her vote in the Maharashtra elections as she was busy with her wedding ceremony.

"For the first time, will be missing out on my opportunity to vote in Mumbai... If not for my wedding, I'd never miss out on this," the actor had posted on Twitter.
