Eight militants killed in Upper Orakzai

Three security personnel were injured in firing by militants, as eight militants die in Tor Kani area of Orakzai.

Three security personnel were injured in firing by militants in the Tor Kani area of Upper Orakzai Agency on Saturday, sources said.

Eight militants were killed by the security forces in response. According to Express 24/7 correspondent Iftikhar Firdous the injured security personnel were Azam, Sadiq and Babar.

At least 15 militants were killed and 20 others suffered injuries, when fighter jets bombed militant hideouts in the Upper Orakzai Agency on Wednesday. Militant strongholds in the area are also the site of frequent drone attacks.

Security forces claim to have cleared 90 per cent of the territory with the exception of main militant stronghold of Mamozai.
