Raising Voices: JPMC employees stage protest

KARACHI: Employees of the neurosurgery department of Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) staged a demonstration outside the JPMC director’s office against the non-payment of their three-month salaries on Wednesday. Dozens of neurosurgery employees protested against the JPMC accounts officials. They carried placards and banners inscribed with different slogans. Neurosurgery Employees’ Action Committee president Ameer Ali Dinari said that the employees and their families were facing great hardships due to the delay. He called upon the provincial government to take notice of the issue and play its due role in resolving the matter. He vowed to continue the protest until the release of the pending salaries.
