Crackdown: Illegal truck terminals to be eliminated

Azam ordered municipal authorities and traffic police to launch a crackdown against all illegal truck terminals.

Commissioner Muneer Azam has issued directives to eliminate all illegal truck terminals from the city and to acquire land outside the city for the construction of government-owned slaughterhouses.


He was chairing a meeting at Commissioner House attended by provincial minister Ziaullah Afridi, DC Syed Zaheerul Islam, municipal corporation administrator Rasheed Ahmed and several other officials.

Azam ordered municipal authorities and traffic police to launch a crackdown against all illegal truck terminals.

He also ordered Rasheed Ahmed to establish four new slaughterhouses outside the city, ensure the provision of utilities and equipment and quality control.

He also asked reports, about the progress to be filed by the end of the week.
