CHARSADDA:

The district’s anti-corruption cell arrested two officials of the revenue department on charges of back-dating transfers and registering a property in the name of a person who died 20 years ago.

Anti-corruption cell circle officer Qazi Aslam said Imran was arrested on the complaint of Muhammad Nabi. He had filed a complaint earlier, stating his cousin Imran allegedly transferred ownership of their jointly-owned property in the name of his father Fazal Rabi who died in 1994. According to Nabi, Imran bribed revenue officials Inamullah and Ajmal Shah for the misappropriation. Both the revenue officials and Imran were arrested, and a case has been registered against them.
