Shariat Court chief justice visits SMI

SMI Principal Dr Muhammad Ali Shaikh gave a presentation on the past, present and future of the college.

KARACHI: The Chief Justice of the Shariat Court of Pakistan Agha Rafiq Ahmed Khan addressed the Sindh Madressatul Islam (SMI) College students and faculty on Thursday, at Sir Shahnawaz Bhutto Auditorium.

“SMI was dear to Quaid-e-Azam’s heart and every citizen should serve the historic institution however they can,” said Khan.

He also said that SMI produced many great leaders, including Shahnawaz Bhutto, Abdullah Haroon, Ghulam Hussain Hidayatullah, Muhammad Ayub Khuhro, Allama I I Qazi and Dr Umer Bin Muhammad Dawoodpoto.

At the event, SMI Principal Dr Muhammad Ali Shaikh gave a presentation on the past, present and future of the college. Later, the chief justice accompanied the other guests to the Jinnah Museum and Fine Arts Gallery at the madrassa.
