All Aboard: PIA ferries 2,800 pilgrims to KSA

Spokesman says all flights departed and arrived as scheduled.

A Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) spokesperson said on Tuesday that the airline had carried 2,800 pilgrims to Saudi Arabia in five special flights as part of Hajj operations.


He said PK 2105 departed from Islamabad at 5:20 am with 495 pilgrims and PK 2603 departed from Peshawar with 309 pilgrims. He said PK 2205 departed from Lahore at 11:25 am with 447 pilgrims and PK 2005 departed from Karachi at 03:00 pm with 326 pilgrims. He said PK 2305 departed from Islamabad at 7:20 pm.

The spokesperson said the flights departed and arrived as scheduled. He said the national flag carrier had ferried 4,800 pilgrims to Saudi Arabia in 12 fights as part of the on-going Hajj operation. He said two flights from Karachi had carried 602 pilgrims, three flights from Lahore had carried 1,448 pilgrims, four flights from Islamabad had carried 1806 pilgrims, two flights from Peshawar had carried 574 pilgrims and one flight from Quetta had carried 327 pilgrims to Saudi Arabia.
