Nabbed: Highway Patrol arrest three robbers

The robbers then fled in a car after a police patrol arrived at the scene.

LAHORE: The Punjab Highway Patrol arrested three robbery suspects late on Saturday night. According to an official statement, the robbers had set up a picket near Mianwali. It said that they snatched Rs50,000 from passengers of two buses. The robbers then fled in a car after a police patrol arrived at the scene. The police team chased the criminals and arrested them. The suspects have been identified as Gulzar, Bilal and Ahmad. Patrolling Police Additional Inspector General Mian Javed Islam commended the police party. The Highway Patrol has also provided assistance to 3,780 motorists in various areas. They also arrested Omar Ismail and Zohaib wanted for several murders in Gujrat and Zafarwal. The statement said that the police had also arrested 15 other suspects from various areas for illegal arms passion, narcotics possession and drunk-driving. The department also reunited nine lost children with their parents. The names of the children are: Ahmad, Ali, Sudhais, Kamran, Salal, Hasnain, Walid, Darya Khan and Qasim.
