Nepotism: FRP inspector, two sub-inspectors sacked

Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa IGP Nasir Khan Durrani has dismissed one inspector and two sub-inspectors of the Frontier Reserve Police (FRP) in light of an enquiry committee’s report against them.


The IGP had earlier suspended FRP Inspector Shakeel Khan, Sub-Inspector Noor Muhammad and Sub-Inspector Amin Khan over their involvement in the illegal recruitment of 378 candidates in the FRP. An enquiry committee was then constituted to probe the allegations against the accused officers.

The enquiry completed by the committee proved the allegations against the officers and report was submitted to the IGP on Wednesday. In view of the findings/recommendations of the enquiry committee, the IGP dismissed Inspector Shakeel Khan along with Noor Muhammad and Amin Khan with immediate effect, stated a notification issued from the Central Police Office.

Through another notification, K-P IGP Nasir Khan Durrani has also suspended Phandu SHO Sub-Inspector Noor Haider with immediate effect over public complaints against him.

The police chief directed the Capital City Police Officer, Peshawar to conduct further enquiry against SI Noor Haider and submit the report to him at the earliest.
