Cricket: Fazal propels Omar CC into final

The match was cut short to a 12-over affair after precious time was lost due to rain.

Fazal Subhan struck an unbeaten half-century as defending champions Omar CC moved into the 2nd Peace Cup final, defeating Alamgir Gymkhana by nine wickets in a rain-affected match at the Naya Nazimabad Lawai Stadium.


The match was cut short to a 12-over affair after precious time was lost due to rain.


Set a target of 91, Fazal starred with 59 off 32 balls hitting three sixes and four boundaries in his team’s chase to help Omar CC make 91-1 in 10 overs. Salman Khan picked up a solitary scalp.


Earlier, Alamgir Gymkhana had made 91-4 in 12 overs, with Daniyal Mansoor making a 33-ball 29, while Saud Shakil starred with 27 off 18 hitting three sixes.
