ISLAMABAD:
The Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) of the police on Sunday detained a girl and her alleged boyfriend for killing the girl’s father.
A CIA official told The Express Tribune that Anila, daughter of Zahid Hussain, had ‘illicit love affair’ with a man, identified as Manzoor Hussain, a resident of Murree.
According to the official, on the night of June 25, Anila called Manzoor to her residence in Almehrban Town in Tarlai after which Zahid found them in an ‘objectionable condition’ in a room. Before he (Zahid) could react, Anila and Manzoor overpowered him and strangled him to death, the official said.
“Anila then called the Koral police claiming her neighbours attempted to rape her before murdering her father,” said the official.
The police arrested the neighbours and handed the case over to the CIA police for investigation. During the investigation, CIA officials obtained Anila’s cell phone data and found some vital clues and detained her.
During interrogation, Anila confessed to the crime in complicit with Manzoor.
The police team raided Manzoor’s house in Darya Galli in Murree and arrested him also. A murder case has been registered against both the accused.
