ISLAMABAD:

The Tarnol police Tuesday arrested two persons allegedly involved in the kidnapping of two girls, both of whom were recovered safely, a police spokesman said.

He said Zahir Shah, a resident of Jhangi Syedan, lodged a complaint with the Tarnol police stating his daughter Aiman had allegedly been kidnapped by Sajid Ali, a resident of Swabi.

Following his complaint, the Tarnol police lodged a first investigation report and a team including Tarnol Police Station House Officer Inspector Muhammad Yousuf, ASI Abdul Hameed, started efforts to track down the abducted girl. The police team succeeded in arresting Sajid Ali and recovering the kidnapped girl.

Meanwhile, the Tarnol police stopped two men and a girl in the New Ghazi area for behaving suspiciously. The two men, Zeeshan and Asghar Iqbal, could not answer the policemen properly.

On further questioning, it was revealed that they had kidnapped 16-year-old Shazia from Layyah. They were arrested and a case has been registered at Tarnol Police Station about her kidnapping. Tarnol SHO Rab Nawaz said the Layyah police have been intimated about their arrest and the recovery of the girl.
