Man commits suicide, boy drowns

Police say deceased, Muhammad Abrar, was in distress for the last couple of weeks due to a domestic issue.

KALLAR SYEDAN:

A man committed suicide and a teenage boy drowned in a dam in Kallar Syedan.

In the first incident, a 30-year-old man committed suicide over a family issue on Thursday.

The deceased, Muhammad Abrar, was in distress for the last couple of weeks due to a domestic issue, the police said.

On Wednesday, he hanged himself by the ceiling fan in his room in Dhoke Dheri Mozu. His body was taken to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital and later handed over to the family.

Meanwhile, a boy drowned while swimming in a dam. Rameez, 14, a resident of Islampura, strayed into deep waters while swimming and drowned. A Rescue 1122 team later fished out his body.
