KATLANG: Senior lawyer Abdul Sammad was killed in Inzargai area of Katlang, Mardan on Thursday evening, reportedly over old enmity.
The wife of the deceased lawyer, Nasrin, told the police that her husband was present in the area when their opponents Gulraj, Miraj and Lal Ghafoor allegedly opened fire at him, killing him on the spot.
Nasrin added that their family had longstanding enmity with the accused. She claimed that the culprits had managed to flee after committing the crime.
Police have registered a case against the accused on the complaint of deceased’s wife and have started an investigation.
