KARACHI: Leader of the Tehreek-e-Taliban splinter group Abid Muchar is still alive, police said, Express News reported on Saturday.

The police had earlier claimed that Abid Muchar was killed in an encounter with security officials.

Police stated that Abid Muchar managed to get away from the Peerabad area of Karachi and was injured at the time he was fleeing. He was able to break through the cordon of police and Rangers personnel.

The Abid Muchar group was behind the attack that took the life of inspector Shafiq Tanoli. Tanoli, after the eighth attempt on his life, was killed in Karachi’s Old Sabzi Mandi area on April 24.

It was reported that Abid Muchar was involved in more than 50 different criminal cases.

@ Jibran ........... Very True !! Its strange that people get convinced with whatever the Interior Minister Ch. Nisar speaks out and assume it to be the truth. Ideally, his speech should be weighed and the opposite version should be considered to be the factual position.
