BANNU:

Roofs of five houses collapsed after the recent heavy downpour in the district, following which the commissioner directed authorities to compile a report covering damages in the area.

Residents said on Wednesday that several houses were damaged in Sharif Shah Sheikhan area of the district where rainwater was yet to drain from congested areas, spreading a wave of fear regarding the possible outbreak of deadly diseases.

Residents mentioned that government officials failed to reach remote areas in the district despite there being a lapse of five days in extending relief to the affected families.

On the other hand, Bannu Commissioner Sayed Mohsin Shah said they were compiling a report detailing damages caused to houses, standing crops and orchards.
