Conference: Minister for discouraging extremist tendencies

Federal State Minister for National Health Services, Regulation and Coordination Saira Afzal Tarar on Thursday urged for efforts to discourage intolerant and extremist tendencies and to push for work to attain peace, stability and prosperity in the country.


She was speaking as the chief guest at a seerat conference organised by the Dawah Centre for Women of the International Islamic University (IIU). The minister said the life of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is the main source of inspiration to make our lives peaceful and stable.

“The core and key message is to do good with fellow beings to have good,” she said.

The minister said, “We as Muslims need to mold our lives to reform the whole society”.

“We are rich in knowledge, but need to prove and change ourselves according to the teachings of the holy prophet.”
