CHARSADDA: A transgender identified as Junaid alias Strawberry was shot dead while another, Ali, was injured when they refused to dance at a wedding in Prang.

Prang police station’s Amir Nawaz Khan confirmed the incident and said Ali, a resident of Mardan, told them that they were at Peer Kaka’s wedding on Saturday night in Mian Kallay, Charsadda.

Ali and Junaid were then asked to dance by two men, Hamid and Shakeel Khan, when they refused, they were beaten.

When Ali and Junaid were heading back home, they were stopped on the way by Hamid and Shakeel. The men asked them again to dance. When they refused again, Hamid and Shakeel, opened fire killing Junaid on the spot.
