Explosion in passenger bus in Multan

At least 17 people have been severely injured in an explosion inside a passenger bus near Sabzi Mandi road in Multan.

MULTAN: At least 17 people were severely injured in an explosion inside a passenger bus near Sabzi Mandi road in Multan.

Reports said that the explosion was caused by a leak in a CNG cylinder and due to the presence of a large number of fire-crackers onboard the bus.

The bus was taking the passengers to a wedding ceremony.

Six passengers who were in critical condition had been shifted to Nishtar Hospital Multan.

Eyewitnesses said the explosion was very powerful and doctors feared more cases of injuries as rescue teams transported the victims to hospitals.

The Fire brigade service managed to extinguish the fire that engulfed the passenger bus after the explosion.
