'Expose the target killers'

KARACHI: MQM leader Dr Farooq Sattar has said that it is the government’s number one priority to expose and arrest those who are conducting target killings in Karachi, particularly those who have already been identified.
Speaking to the media today (Wednesday), Sattar said eyewitness accounts have been gathered and many people who have been wounded in recent attacks have recognized their assailants, making it “very clear who has perpetrated these attacks”.
The violence on October 16-17 against MQM workers has shown who has picked up weapons against whom.
He added that the ongoing wave of violence in Karachi has to be a well-planned conspiracy, given the way people have been executed. He appealed for calm and patience from both MQM party workers and the public.
Sattar’s press conference comes as the death toll in the metropolis has crossed 30 in the last 24 hours.

It is unfortunate that Karchi has become the target of bad elements for quite some time.
The resposibility of the Police is to apprehend the goonda elements at the first instance and put them behind the bars.
Now the local administration is thinking to impose curfew in the affected areas which should have imposed after the incident of first target killing.
If the security agencies will become silent spectators and will keep on wait-and-see position, it is a natural that goonda elements will do more harm then they can anticipate.
Killing one one person is equivalent to killing the whole humanity.
The bad guys should be dealth with an iron hand so that peace should prevail in Karachi. How many times Universities will postpone eximinations? How many times people have to close their offices and shopping malls.
Karachi need foreign investments for creating jobs for the unemployed youth. Unless peace is not restored in the city, no foreign investor will come to Karachi.
Look at the Quaid’s city. It is burning and people are killed openly and brutally by the goonda elements.
By the way from where these gooda elements get the guns? Who issued them licenses to kill the innocent people who have nothing to do with the politics.Recommend

Again Zardari government has shown extreme of incompetence. Leaving people at the mercy of criminals and gangsters. Police insensibly watching people dying. They are either uninterested or simply grossly incompetent and ruthlessly negligent of their duties. It is hard to believe they are paid for this job. Politicians are busy in political games.
What is the point of building mosques in every corner when individuals and insitutions have no respect for basic human existence. Wearing long robes and growing beards are only symbols of of such a hypocrisy and deception that this society is becoming victim of.
This society only deserves to be ruled by a government which will has no political agenda and which can impose severe heavy punishments for those who breach the law.
