LAHORE: The Lahore High Court on Friday reserved verdict on a petition challenging the authority of Pakistan Cricket Board to dissolve interim committees at district and regional level. Manager of Lahore Shalimar team Shahid Ghafoor had filed the petition. He said the PCB had dissolved Lahore interim committee ahead of an election.  He said a division bench of the LHC had ruled that the interim committees would continue to function till the election.  He said the decision to dissolve the interim committees before the election was a violation of the orders. The PCB, argued through its counsel, that it had lawful jurisdiction to form and dissolve interim committees.  The counsel said interim committee members wanted to contest the election and that was why the committees were dissolved.  He said the petitioner had no locus standi in the case. Justice Khalid Mahmood Khan who had granted a stay order against dissolution of the committees, on Friday reserved judgment on the petition after both sides concluded their arguments.
