KARACHI: The National selection committee has finally lost patience with misfiring middle-order batsman Umar Amin dropping him from the 15-man ODI squad announced today to take on Sri Lanka in five-match series.

The 24-year-old had been underperforming for a while now but still he was carried with the team which led to criticism from experts and former cricketers. But despite being given full backing he failed to show his potential.

Meanwhile, opener Sharjeel Khan has been retained for the ODIs after decent performances in his first two T20Is against Afghanistan and Sri Lanka respectively.

Haris Sohail is another player who have been recalled into the side while selectors have kept faith in Asad Shafiq.
