KARACHI: The police claimed on Monday that they had arrested a culprit for his alleged involvement in the killing of Ahle Sunnat Waljamaat (ASWJ) spokesperson Maulana Akbar Saeed Farooqui, Express News reported on Monday.
The ASWJ spokesperson was returning from a rally on August 25 organised by the outfit at Lasbela Chowk when gunmen opened fire at him near University Road.
Sources from the hospital had confirmed that Farooqui had suffered two gun shots in the head.
DIG East Muneer Sheikh claimed on Monday that the culprit, upon being arrested, had confessed killing the ASWJ spokesperson.
The alleged killer had further confessed to committing 21 other murders, including four students and a doctor.
Police said that the suspect was a resident of Abbas Town.

Is he the real killer...police is notorious for the brutal tactics of using torture as a practical method forcing the criminal and accused to admit their crimes..
So basically the killer was a Shia who used to kill sunnis (including students and a doctor!). People dont shout #sunnigenocide when sunnis are killed. But if a shia is killed, suddenly it becomes shia genocide!

"Police said that the suspect was a resident of Abbas Town."- Go figure, the culprits behind the Abbas Town blasts were never brought to justice, so such individuals take matters into their own hands to get "revenge". Although I do not condone his actions, until extremist militants are brought to justice and prosecuted such individuals will continue to pop up. It will become a never ending cycle. Justice system needs to wake up, and stop being intimidated by extremist militants such as leader of LeJ Malik Ishaque who still roams freely. (ET PRINT THIS)
