Development: Government prepares Vision 2020-25

The 2013-2018 plan will be unveiled in December this year, says minister.

Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Reforms Ahsan Iqbal said that the government was preparing a five-year plan and Vision 2020-25 to put the country on the path of sustainable development.


While addressing the 12th Convocation of University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Taxila he said that the 2013-2018 plan will be unveiled in December this year.

He said that the present government has launched five-year energy and education emergency plans in which steps for betterment of these sectors will be taken on an emergency basis.

He discussed the government’s plan for economic growth of the country as its future lies in sustainable economic growth. Iqbal said that the economic corridor, Thar coal, Gaddani Energy Park and solar projects would play a vital role in overcoming the energy crisis and during the next five years, it will assist the nation in overcoming the energy crisis.
